The latest release in the mega video series, “The Boating and Water Safety Video For Kids and Families” is hot off the presses at the Advance America Foundation Film and Television Production Center.  This is the 3rd DVD in the series and focuses on Water Ski Safety.

The “Water Ski Safety” DVD is a half hour safety video featuring a strong line up of KBN Sea Action News Field reporters who also happen to be accomplished veteran water ski competitors.  Led by polished professional network quality reporting from Brooks Wilson and with help from younger brother KC Wilson, the video starts off with a quick Look at the AWSEF Hall of Fame and Museum and the Water Skier Code: “The 14 Points Of Water Ski Safety”.  Brooks and KC then take us out onto Grew Lake for some on the water demonstrations.

Out on the dock they go over courtesy to the boat owner, pre ski boat checks, and signals to use between the skier and the observer.  Then it’s on to some high action slalom runs from KC and Brooks. KC shows tips for beginners on two skis, use of hand signals and verbal signals, what to do after you go down, and receiving the tow line to ski again.

KBN Sea Action News Field Reporters Carli Guyer and Lauren Morgan then join us for some phenomenal reporting and demonstrations of skiing technique covering slalom, trick skiing, and jumping.  With professional grade reporting, Carli tells us pointers about the art of falling, slalom ski technique, ski jumping, and how to figure tow line length.  We also get some info about making sure to follow safety rules, wearing life jackets, running gear to watch out for, and Bat Woman!!!?

The ski jump and slalom runs of Lauren leave you thinking it would take someone twice her age to do what she can do!  But most of all the skiers showed that having fun doesn’t mean that you have to give up proper safe procedures!  In fact, you are likely to have more fun because things won’t be going wrong!

The second segment of the video is a tour of the American Water Ski Educational Foundation (AWSE) Hall of Fame and Museum and the USA Water Ski Offices.

The third segment is Sea Quest Kids classic, “How To Get ‘Em Started On The Water” featuring boat building, paddle race events, and interviews of parents and kids.

Video premier is the Miami International Boat Show February 15 – 19, 2007.  Look for Sea Quest Kids inside the entrance to “B” Hall at the Miami Beach Convention Center.  The video will be readily available from the Sea Quest Kids Web Site and numerous other marine industry retailers and manufacturers.

More “Boating And Water Safety Video For Kids and Families” video titles will be released over the next six weeks.
