Dateline December
7, 2006: As production of the
Boating and Water Safety Video For Kids and Families goes into the home
stretch, Sea Quest Kids welcome a new group of KBN Sea Action News reporters. Sea Quest Kids shot some of the nearly
final footage for the video in Brick, New Jersey. Three shoots were done over
the weekend and into the following week. A new group of Sea Quest Kids KBN Sea
Action News Reporters was brought on board along with veteran ÒrovingÓ KBN Sea
Action News Reporters Lily and Caroline McGlaughlin.
The
Brick, New Jersey KBN Sea Action News Reporters are led by veteran Sea Quest
100 Boat Builder Rachel Loizos. Ten
year old Rachel built her first boat at the Atlantic City In-Water Power Boat
Show in September of this year.
She actually helped build two boats. Joining Rachel are newly recruited KBN Sea Action News
Reporters Paige and Marie Moore both eleven years old and ten year old Sarah
Hoffman.
The
KBN Sea Action News Team in Brick, New Jersey promises to be a very strong
group of reporters. They did an
outstanding job of delivering the news on diesel and gasoline engines, getting
a boat off of running aground, and reviewing the official US Rowing Safety
Chart.
The
segment on getting a boat off of a grounding required the reporters to do
expert demonstrations on how to use paddles for poling and how to pull with and
anchor. This is a group of reporters
that promises to bring home the true story.
When
you want the finest in boating and aquatic news go to Sea Quest Kids KBN Sea
